If the awakened cannot be killed, they can be scattered: given kings, given borders, given seventy tongues in which the one word that would wake them can never quite be said the same way twice. The tower is not humanity climbing toward heaven. It is the Archons teaching humanity to build upward for the wrong architect, and the scattering is not a punishment. So he does what a jealous maker does with a ruined draft: he reaches for the water. But the Genesis story runs backward here. It is not the god of the ark who warns Noah, it is the luminous Epinoia sent by Sophia; and when the Archons come to claim the boat, Norea, daughter of Eve, burns it to the waterline. When the voice of Wisdom answers his question, the loyal prince commits the seven heavens’ only unforgivable act, he looks up, and says so.
